EXPLORE CAMERON

Duration          : 8.30am to 6.30am

Minimum         : Two adults

This nature program is a combination of The Mount Brinchang Mossy Forest Tour and The Orang Asli Village Visit. The journey begins with a short commentary stop at the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation before the drive up to Mount Brinchang, the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands. With a little bit of luck you can enjoy the magnificent view of Cameron Highlands from the view tower at 6666 feet a.s.l. An interpretive walk into the Mossy Forest will reveal some of the exotic montane flora and fauna. A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia. Here a tour of the factory will be conducted by the guide. Have a cup of tea at the Umpp Tea Shop where you will be amazed by the wide range of tea being offered. The next stop will be at Tanah Rata for lunch. After lunch, the journey continues through vegetable and flowers farms to an Orang Asli village. Observe their simple lifestyle, culture and their traditional medicine. Try the blowpipe and get to know the tools and musical instruments used by the Orang Asli. A twenty minutes walk around the village will help you to understand some of their medical plants. Next, enjoy the bumpy ride uphill through thick vegetation before you arrive at the Boh Tea Plantation. Half an hour drive from here will bring you back to your hotel.

EXPLORE CAMERON

Duration          : 9.00am to 2.30pm

Cruise along the rolling tea hills to Mountain Brinchang while enjoying the cool crispy air. A commentary on tea will be given  at one of the view point before the drive up to the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands. If you are lucky, you will be blessed with the magnificent view of the surrounding area. An interpretive walk into the mossy forest will reveal one of the most exotic flora on earth – The Pitcher Plant! Other plants like orchids, primitive ferns, spices and medicinal plants will also be highlighted by our guide. A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia – Sungai Palas. Here are factory tour will be conducted before visiting the Tea Shop. You will be amazed by the varieties of tea offered at the Umpp!! Tea Shop. Enjoy a cup of tea before the return journey back to the hotel.

Authentic villages are situated at the Eastern Valleys of Cameron Highlands, a forty minutes drive down will bring you to this beautiful villages! Try the Blowpipe and get to know more about their tools, food, musical instruments etc. observe the traditional bamboo huts build only with bamboo, wood and palm leaves. A short walk to a waterfall nearby the village will reveal some of the medicinal plants used by the Orang Asli’s in their daily life. This place is also the home of hundreds of insect species!

Explore the wilderness of Cameron Highlands and discover the insect world!

Cameron Highlands is well known as Insect Paradise by many insect collectors for it’s variety of insect species. A half and hour drive on a 4WD will bring you to the Eastern Valley of Cameron Highlands where the hunts begins. At this moderate elevation, it’s warm and humidity is the most suitable environment for insects. Different species of insects can be observed at each stop made along the way. Some of the insects will be captured by using a net for observation and will be released back into the forest. This program will give you an opportunity to understand about the Insect World.
